SELF IMPROVEMENT

There is a common misconception that failure is a bad thing. Many people who fail at something are often called losers, but if those people learn from their losses, they are actually winners.

Failure teaches people that they are just like everybody else, and that success is gained from hard work and determination. When people fail at something important in their lives and decide to try again, they tend to regain their confidence and persist with great resilience.

The road to success is never an easy one. There are several obstacles, and you are bound to fall sooner or later. . But success lies in being able to get up every time you fall. That’s a critical life skill. And it’s the habit of all successful people.

Many of the best lesson people learn in life come from the mistakes they have made and the knowledge they gained from their mistakes. In life, there are no mistakes only lessons . Examples of failure being the best teacher are often seen in business matters ,in sports and even in relationships

People often go into relationships knowing very little about one another. This sometimes leads to disappointment and sometimes they unintentionally hurt each other's feelings. This situation could have been avoided had they taken more time to get to know each other.

Many people spend a lot of time in relationships that do not lead anywhere When the relationship ends, the people involved are often bitter and feel that they have wasted their time, but they have actually learned one of life's greatest lessons.

In fact, failure is a mechanism created to force people into figuring out where they went wrong and then striving to succeed the next time they are faced with such a dilemma.

No one can win every time, and if people can learn to accept their mistakes and move on, they will also realize how strong they truly are.

When success is reached through suffering, the resulting honor is far greater than that of just being handed an award.

Learning the hard way is probably the best way to learn in any situation.
Here is a story to illustrate this .

SEL
THE  mother GIRAFFE MAKES HER CHILD SUFFER

The mother giraffe gives birth standing up, so the first thing that happens to a new-born giraffe is a fall of about two meters.

Still dazed, the baby tries to stand up on its four legs, but its mother behaves very strangely: she gives the baby giraffe a gentle kick which sends it sprawling. It tries to get up and is again knocked down.

This process is repeated several times, until the new-born giraffe is too exhausted to stand. At that point, the mother kicks it again, forcing it to get to its feet. After that, she does not push the baby giraffe over again.

The explanation is simple: in order to survive predators, the first lesson a giraffe must learn is to get to its feet quickly.

The mother’s apparent cruelty finds support in an Arabic proverb: “Sometimes, in order to teach something good, you have to be a little rough.”

Learning to win in life is quite like learning to ride a bicycle. As you start to ride, you might fall and get bruised. It doesn’t matter. You need to get back up and continue to ride. Fall one more time? Get back up again. That’s all it takes. Learn to get back up every time you fall.

Next time you find a friend or a parent kicking you, don’t get upset with them. Like the mother giraffe, they may only be trying to teach you one of life’s most important lessons
