Why does God tests us?

The question arises in the mind of many, “Why should Truth test us?”

God’s tests are divine tests not to unveil something hitherto unknown. Since he is omniscient, he does not need such unveiling process. Though such tests pronounces his guidance for one man, but addresses both believers and non believers in every event.

The mettle of man is like gold, to be purified in a crucible.” It should be kept in mind that in the course of God’s tests all impurities are removed from us.

In all schools there are test to determine whether the subject taught has been mastered by the student. Testing is beneficial and necessary for the one being tested. One may be optimistic that he is ready to graduate. Testing makes him see where he really stands.

In the school one is taught a lesson and then given a test; but in life, we are given test that teaches us a lesson. In this test, God sees how much we are willing to toil tests our strength and bestows his grace to the necessary extent.

Learning and growth involve testing, testing lets u know how you are doing. If you are not doing so well, turn to God , asking for help. Spend more time in purifying yourself with the help of the Vedas and the guidance of Guru.
