“Desires is the root cause of misery,” said lord Buddha.”When one gets out of sorrow distress and misery, he is at the first step of the ladder that lifts him to Peace.
Most of us have abundant desires without realizing the truth that “God grants you what you deserve and not what you desire.” Unfulfilled desires lead to disappointment, distress and depression step by step. At the extreme conditions, however man is passionate to get only one desire fulfilled; that is the desire leads to inner peace.” Peaceful heart is one that is free from worry, trouble and stress. When there is peace in the heart and mind one looks at things in the proper perspective. Wealth dignity and status in society. When they come across a problem desparately cry,” I have everything but no peace of mind.” So the peace is the most important factor for human happiness and prosperity.
When Vibhishana surrenders himself to Rama he says his is a peaceful mission.. Rama given time to Ravana to repent for his sins and return Sita to him. War is sometimes inevitable to establish dharma. Such wars are fought for peace only.
In the Mahabharatha also Yudhisstra strives his best to avoid war. He agrees 13 years of vanavasa for Pandavas. Even though Pandavas provoke him to wage war he only wants peace. When the peace messengers he sends Duryodhana are disrespected, Yudhistra sends Lord Krishna as a peace messenger. He is ready to accept even five houses to live in peace and avoid war and destruction. The price you pay for peace may be very high, but it’s worth is many times more than the price of war. In the Bhagavat gita, Lord Krishna says, readiness to sacrifice for the cause of peace is the most powerful strength.
